Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)
In Biblical times, going all the way back to the days of the patriarch Abraham, women have always played a pivotal role in God's plan of salvation. Not only were they the bearers of life, without whom we would not have had the patriarchs and Our Lord Jesus Christ, they acted with power and the Holy Spirit in judging the tribes of Israel (Deborah), saving the Israelites from their enemies (Queen Esther, Judith, and Jael wife of Heber), and much more.
Today, women do a lot more than most people realize in the Church. They help support our church by cantoring services, helping with the stewardship of the church, visiting the sick and imprisoned, care for orphans and the elderly, catechetical instruction of children, and other tasks that are essential for the smooth running of the Church. And of course, there is the most important task of all - PRAYER!
Within these pages you will find information for women who are aspiring to a greater call to serve God and His Church. We ask you to read these pages with an open mind and humble heart. Who knows, God might be calling you to service with faith and love!
